The JR series motors are divided into two types: those with brush lifting and short-circuit devices and those without brush lifting and short-circuit devices.

The Xi'an Simo JS/JR series three-phase asynchronous motors are of the protective type. According to user needs, they can also be made into the duct ventilation type.
The protective motors should be installed indoors at an altitude not exceeding 1KM, with the ambient air temperature not higher than +40℃ and not lower than 0℃, in clean air without corrosive gases such as acids and alkalis. The motors are not allowed to work in an environment containing explosive gases or a large amount of dust.
When the ambient air temperature around the motor exceeds the above regulations or the air is not clean, the duct ventilation mode should be adopted. At this time, the temperature of the cooling air entering both ends of the motor should be between 0℃ and 40℃, and it should be ensured that the air pressure inside the duct and the motor is higher than the ambient air pressure. If necessary, blowers, dust filters, etc. should be installed.
The Xi'an Simo JS series squirrel-cage motors are allowed to start directly at full voltage. The ratios of the initial starting torque and the initial starting current values to the rated values are shown in Table 3 respectively. If the user's power grid does not allow direct starting at full voltage, starting with reduced voltage can be adopted. However, at this time, the starting torque will decrease in a square relationship with the starting voltage.
The JR series motors must be started by pre-connecting a starting rheostat in the rotor circuit. It is not allowed to directly short-circuit the rotor winding for starting.

- When placing an order, please indicate the Simo motor model, power, voltage, speed, duty cycle, structural installation type, excitation mode, excitation voltage, number of shaft outlets, position of the terminal box, direction of rotation, as well as the names and quantities of the required accessories and spare parts.
- If it is necessary to be matched for export and there are requirements for the wet tropical area, please indicate it in the contract.
